Saltaire to East Riddlesden Hall

This is a nice gentle ride along the canal from Saltaire to the end of the well surfaced towpath then back to East Riddlesden Hall. The ride out will be traffic free, but dependant on who comes along, we may ride back towards Bingley along the cycle path before returning to the canal. We really welcome newcomers to our rides and always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. You just need a roadworthy bike with a spare inner tube of the correct size (just in case). Dress appropriately for the weather: several thin layers are best and a rain jacket could come in handy.
We will be stopping for refreshments at East Riddlesden Hall, so if you are a NT member, please bring your card. The more adventurous can take the '5 Rise Lock Hill' challenge or you can join me in pushing. Approx 16 miles round trip, but can be easily shortened if required. The towpath can get muddy after rain, so please bear this in mind when choosing what to wear for the ride.
Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part. If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.
