An easy-going route, mostly flat, mostly on traffic free or quiet roads, although there are a couple of busy junctions to negotiate. It will be an interesting, leisurely ride with lots of fascinating history and attractive architecture and scenery to admire.
We will follow the Waterlink way to Greenwich and cycle along the river on the Thames path as far as Greenland dock. Our route then takes us through the Russia Dock Woodland along the Surrey Canal Linear park, past the Brunel museum past The Rotherhithe Watch house to the Salter Statues. If the weather is fine, we may go up to Stave Hill to see the view, so bring a sturdy lock with you.
We will have a coffee stop in Southwark park and return via the C10 to Deptford and the Waterlink way back to Cator park.
