Sawley Mill round ride!

This ride takes us out through Attenborough Nature Reserve along the canal to Trent Lock and then on a little further to cross the water at Sawley Mill. The bike paths are better suited to a hybrid bike, but a road bike is also possible.
We then pick up the country lanes which will give us good views of the power station as we work our way back towards the city. There is a bit of challenge as we climb up towards Clifton, but that is rewarded with a lovely sweep down back towards the river, along the cycle tracks to return to the Bean Cafe.
We will ride at a steady 10-12mph pace ... hopefully it will burn off some Christmas calories!
There are various places for coffee and cake along the way ... we will aim to stop at the pub at Sawley Marina; a warm cuppa will also await when we return to the Bean Cafe for anyone who wishes.
