Scrummy Slatterys

The route takes us from Luciano's along the Middelbrook Trail into the town centre, then across to Radcliffe and Whitefield where we stop at Slatterys for refreshments. Our return ride takes us to the edge of the M60, along the Outwood Trail, to Prestolee and Nob End, through Modes Gate Country Park, the town centre, Queens Park and Heaton Cemetry before we return to Luciano's. The ride will be led by Martin Doxsey and Jane White. Average speed will be 10mph.

The route uses all types of surface - roads, tracks and muddy paths.

Although helmets are only recommended by law and not deemed to be essential, anyone not wearing a helmet will not be able to join the ride. Please be self-sufficient and arm yourself with spare inner tubes, bike levers and pump. Don’t forget your pennies for the café stop. Please ensure you bring along a drink for the ride. Also check you brakes and gears on your bike at least the night before.
