This is one of the longer Breeze rides from Brighton & Hove, using a combination of busier roads (through Rottindean), quiet roads, and cycle paths.
We hug the seafront using Sustrans National Cycle Route 2, so the views can be stunning on a good day! Please note we will meet and start from the MAIN PIER ON BRIGHTON SEAFRONT!
There are hills, including a steep one into Newhaven - note that you need to be a confident and competent cyclist for this ride - is it NOT for beginners!
We have the option of catching the train back from Newhaven if you're tired by the time we get to Seaford, and we have a café stop on the beach at Seaford, so bring money (or a picnic in case the cafe is closed due to COVID-19 restrictions). Also bring spare inner tube for your bike, water, snacks, and waterproof. Limit how much other stuff you bring though as it will slow down you down on the steep hills.
Please contact ride leader Alison if you are delayed getting to the start - however, we may not be able to wait for you. If you have any questions please contact ride leader Alison on [email protected]
or 07967 094967.
