Sitwell CC Road Captain: Claire Morgan Leaving from the corner of Turner Lane & High Street at 9am. Ride description: This ride takes us up Royds Moor, then out to Laughton, following East Field Lane through Firbeck. We will then follow a short loop around Roche Abbey before turning left down Gypsy Lane and coming back into Laughton. From here we will follow the roads back to Whiston, enjoying the descent back to HQ. This route offers some quiet country roads and stunning scenery, although a little lumpy in places (it is Yorkshire after all). Total distance is 18 mile/29km with total elevation gain 1,148 feet/350 metres Café stop will be at the Leger Lakes Café in Firbeck The route can be downloaded here: http://www.strava.com/routes/14158320 The pace on this ride will be about 12-13mph.
