This stunning 15.9 mile route is for those that what to improve on a few inclines but we take them at a very easy pace and will stop if anyone needs to catch their breath and have a drink.
Parking is free opposite St. Helens church and there is a public toilet at the start next to the Six Bells pub. The route includes 3 possible toilet stops if necessary and a cafe break for much needed tea and cake, Oh and amazing bacon butties.
Most of the route are lanes that are light on traffic, we join one main road twice, once on the way there and once on the way back, we are on this road for about half a mile and then back into the quiet countryside.
We pass many places of interest and I will be pointing these out on the way round, one is the 14th Century Cooling Castle but there are some lovely churches as well.
