An easy going ride from Cage A bike shop, Mannaberg Way, Scunthorpe, taking in the villages to the North. if anyone hasn't seen it before we could have a stop at Julians Bower, an ancient turf maze with stunning views over Trent Falls where the Trent and Ouse join to become the Humber. They say you can see York Minster on a clear day.

The route is all tarmac, mostly quiet roads and not too far so any kind of bike would be suitable, although mountain bikes with fat tyres might make you work a bit harder!

Its not a long ride so we arent planning a coffe stop but we will stop for a breather in Alkborough with time for eating or drinking anything you have brought with you. We will also stop briefly to regroup as necessary. Cage A does have a coffee bar within the shop and we like to patronise it on our return in exchange for their helpfulness with use of toilets, parking etc.

Please ensure you have a spare inner tube that fits your bike and a working pump. Helmets are advisable. You will need some cash if you are going to join us for a post ride coffee.

First timers are welcome on all our rides and this easy going ride is designed for anyone who hasn't been on the bike for a while, or wants to build confidence or just wants an easy ride with a friendly bunch of riders. We will aim to average 10 - 12 mph but we never leave anyone behind.
