The route will start at Sixfields Walter Tull Memorial NN5 5QL, as we head off traffic free along the Grand Union Canal (Northampton Arm) until we hit the Banbury Lane.
Here we will take to the road and head out on a long steady incline to the village of Rothersthorpe.
Turning left we continue with some non physical ups and downs towards Blisworth (Arm) following the road round to the right we Climb up Milton Road to Gayton

Once in Gayton we turn left onto the Blisworth road past St Mary's church, we take the 3rd on the right onto Back Lane over the cross roads onto Bugbrooke Rd.

A good opportunity to test those breaks.... we are met with a fast decent down to the Banbury Lane with Headlands Farm Kennels in front of you.
Turning left on the Banbury Lane there is along accent with some ups and downs to Pattishall / Fosters Booth.

Crossing the A5 we continue along the Banbury Lane ascending into Cold Higham where the road flattens out a little.
On to Foxley where you can see some fantastic rolling countryside, we continue on the Banbury Lane where the road becomes more undulating with some steady accents north of Blakesley then a decent down to Fulling Mill then on to Adstone.
Passing All Saints Church on the right hand side the road bears round to the left and approx 1.5km we will arrive for a well deserved coffee and cake stop at Canons Ashby.

Back in the saddle ready to burn some more calories with a up hill to Moreton Pinkney where we pick up the National Cycle Trail Sustrans 50 for a short time then a down hill into Weston.
Passing through the village, just prior to leaving we hang a left up to Plumpton, once again quite undulating with sharp ups and downs we pass Plumpton Woods on the left hand side.

The road bears round to the right into Woodend Green, over the cross road then into Woodend.
As we come into Woodend turn left into the village then a sharp right at Hicks Farm we have a well called for down hill towards Blakesley, turning left into the village approx 200m after Blakesley Hall Lodge.
Once in the village, at the Green we turn left and ascend out of the village. The surroundings will become familiar as we cross back over the Banbury Lane heading towards Maidford. Before hitting the village we turn right at the cross roads and pass Maidford wood on the right hand side and taking a left into Litchborough, approx 1.5km further on.

Down through Litchborough and out of the other side, we hit the Northampton Road with an easy down hill to the A5 we pass the "Birth of RADAR Memorial on the left hand side.

Crossing the A5 we head down to Bugbrooke, under the railway bridge and Bugbrooke Wharf we turn right onto Great lane then right again onto Camp Hill.... only a small hill mind we leave the village crossing over the canal and railway again we join the Banbury lane back at Headlands Farm Kennels.
Turning left we follow the Banbury lane back to Northampton, over the the traffic controlled railway / canal bridge, up into Rothersthorpe where we retrace our outward steps heading back for a finish at the Walter Tull Memorial
