Covid-19 measures in place for the safety of us all:

* If you, or anyone in your household, or contacts have had any symptoms of Covid-19, ie new persistant cough, or fever or loss of taste or smell, in the last 14 days, or if you feel unwell in any other way, then please do not sign up. I will also need you to confirm to me at the ride start that you and your household are symptom free.

* If you are in the extremely vulnerable category or have been told to self-isolate Welsh Cycling recommends you do not participate in activities

* Please maintain social distancing of a minimum of 2 metres 'head to head' at all times from each other and from members of the public, where it is safe to do so, especially when stopping at junctions, crossings, hazards and when off the bikes.
* Please avoid touching others' bikes, or sharing anything, eg food, spares, money (ideally bring a card).
* Bring your own hand gel/wipes, mask, drink and snack. NB come prepared to fix issues on your bike yourself if at all possible, ie pump, spare tube, tyre levers. Guidance will be available at a distance.
If you have any questions, please either 'message ride creator' through Lets Ride, or post it on the ride conversation tab.

We'll ride up Rhiwbina hill and double back down a long descent to Tongwynlais. Then over to climb up through Morganstown and Radyr , crossing through the golf course to reach Llantrisant Rd. then we'll turn down to St Fagans, and after a stop, make our way back to the start though the suburbs.

This new route is an enjoyable mix of cityscape and country roads, at the same time we'll stay within the Cardiff boundary, see the route here https://www.komoot.com/tour/267354817

After a short traffic free start on the new cycleway skirting Bute Park, we'll be on roads and lanes for the majority of the ride, with short stretches on busier roads, so this ride is really best for riders who are confident in traffic. There are some hills, (and one big one!) but we always wait at the top. Suitable for road and hybrid bikes.

We'll stop for a breather at the top of the bigger hills, and we'll stop for a socially distanced coffee/cake in the garden of the Old Post House at St Fagans, approx 30 min, toilets available.

Bring money/card for the Old Post House stop, or bring your own refreshments. Also your helmet, and a mask and hand gel/wipes, a spare tube, pump and tyre levers.

We never leave anyone behind
