Come and join us for a leisurely ride around Winchester.
We will meet at Waitrose in Stockbridge Road near the recycling bins / disabled parking and will ride via Weeke and Littleton to Sparsholt, continue to Standon, Hursley and back through Oliversā Battery and Sarum Road back to the start.
This ride is for those with some cycling experience (and/or low gears!). Be assured it will be a supportive atmosphere for everyone. We will always make sure no one is left behind.
There is a short section on the busier Hursley Road but overall we use quieter roads.
Please make sure that you have a working set of lights on your bike, as it will get dark during the ride. Otherwise, as always please wear appropriate clothing for weather conditions and bring spare inner tubes, puncture repair kit and a pump - just in case.
It's a good idea to bring some water. Wearing a helmet is always advisable.
Any type of bike is suitable as long as it's in good working order, although road tires (rather than off-road / mountain bike tires) are better suited.
If you like to join for a drink after the ride, please bring money (and a lock) so we could have a chat at the pub (coffee shops are already closed).
Car parking is available at Waitrose (underground) but it has a time limit of 2 hours.
Most importantly, we will have fun!
We are looking forward seeing you - Xis.
