Starting point

Merseyside
WA11 7TA

We will head up the cycle path up the A570 crossing over the A580 heading into St Helens We then head through a few parks around St Helens eventually stopping at the top of the Dream Statue for a few pictures ( our original group picture was took here ! ) .We will then head across towards Winwick . We then cut across to pick up Sankey valley back up to Carr Mill Dam ,before heading back up the A580 and A570 cycle paths . Please make sure you check your bikes over the night before and have a couple of spare inner tubes and means of inflation . This ride is suited to MTBs Hybrids and Cyclocross bikes ,even road bikes with care ! There are a couple of gates along Sankey valley but they have all been widened and are much easier accessed now . Some is on road and some on hard standing paths . I have changed this ride from an early start and early breakfast at Toast , instead we will either stop at Woodys Café at Burtonwood , or we can stop at the Waterside Public House at Carr Mill Dam , so we will start at 10 am so please try to be at the start for 9:45 am as we will be leaving on time . We have had a few problems with people riding off at the front , please don't unless we say too , as it compromises the safety of the group .
