Our route will start outside Reserved Cafe in Stannington Park. I'll be there from 9am for a pre ride matter and cuppa. Arrive by 9.15 for preride safety checks and a ride briefing and a warm up.
Our route is around 12.8 miles does have hill climbs and descents which in places are challenging, but do-able. We take our time and walk if needed, also regrouping at top of climbs and bottom of descents, and before junctions. There is a short section on the A57, which is fast and can be busy and does have right turns. Please don't be put off by this as we manage it very attentively and precision.
Please bring a road worthy road or hybrid bike. I dont want to rule out riders on MTB's but please bear in mind it is harder on this type of bike. Please message me and we can have a chat, should you be a MTB rider
A helmet whilst not compulsory is recommended, bike spares eg. Inner tubes/puncture repair kit and multi tool. Please carry a bike lock, drinks and money for the cafe. Please wear clothes suited to the time of year and riding comfort.
The car park is situated off Uppergate Road, and the cafe is in Stannington Park. The post code given is for the cafe. Please check local signage when parking if you plan on bring your car to the start point. Im usually in the cafe from 9am for a pre ride Brew.
