Second time lucky? After the washout of our May date, when Kew even had to cancel the day's event, we try again. Kew doesn't normally allow cycling in their gardens, but on certain dates of Summer they open their gates for bikes. This is a ride through quiet roads to get to Kew. IMPORTANT: you must buy your ticket before joining this ride as I don't think you can do at the gates - tickets here: www.kew.org/kew-gardens/whats-on/summer-cycle

We use the segregated shared path on the Western Avenue to cross through Acton and join the cycle lane at Chiswick High Road, and then Kew Bridge on the shared pavement. We will take the Overground from Kew on our way back (so bring your contactless to pay), however, if there are delays or cancellations, we will cycle back - so make sure to bring your front and rear lights just in case. You are free to do your own thing once we get to Kew, and regroup again at 8.30pm to come back. Likewise, you may go home at any time you want, though you're welcome to join me on the way back too.

Please make sure to read Summer Cycle's essential information and rules for the evening. Bring your mask to get inside toilets and the gift shop. If you develop Covid-19 symptoms or are told to self-isolate, or can't make it for any other reason, please cancel your place on the ride to allow for others to join.

First-timers welcome!
