We will leave the Farm Shop and go down through Lifton before climbing up to Sprytown cross and on undulating our way up to Bridestowe where we turn off and climb up to join the Granite way and which we follow to Lydford. From Lydford we descend down the Coryton valley and then pick up the road to take us past Sydenham house and climb back up to Sprytown Cross befor dropping down to return through Lifton to the Farm Shop. This is a beautiful country route with stunning views.

The ride will be undulating with a few steady hills. We will climb up to Bridestowe and then on up to join a section of the Granite Way before dropping back down the Coryton Valley and making our way back to Sprytown and down then the Farm Shop. There is no planned toilet stop on this route although the toilets at Lifton Farm Shop at the beginning and end of our ride.

We will start on the wider old A30 to Bridestowe before joining the Granite Way cycle trail and then returning mostly be riding on narrow West Devon country lanes which are quiet but have potholes. There will be views across to Dartmoor. Where the roads are narrow we stop if we need to let farm vehicles past. We ask that you to ride in single file on narrow roads.

We will stop for photos and jelly baby energy take on

We require you to wear a helmet if you are riding with us. Please make sure that you bike is mechanically sound and that you carry at least one spare inner tube for your bike as well as means to inflate it. Please also bring a bottle of drink to take on your ride and any energy bars or sweets that you might need. To comply with COVID-19 recommendations please bring a mask, gloves and hand sanitiser with you and sanitise your hands before and after your ride. We will have socially distanced refreshments and chat at the Farm Shop post ride so please remember your payment card.
