Sutton Scarsdale and the Stockley Trail

We meet at Rother Valley - just by the pedestrian entrance to the car park next to Burrows Mint Car dealers. We cycle up the trail to Poolsbrook before taking cycle paths and a few roads to the Stockley Trail which we will cycle up to Heath before making our way to Sutton Scarsdale where we will have a picnic lunch. Return to Chesterfield via minor roads and trails before taking the canal and trail back to Rother valley.

Lovely ride - predominantly trails with a few roads and the odd hill. Less than 1500 feet of climbing.

Mostly traffic free. Suitable for gravel/hybrid type bikes.

Stop for coffee at Poolsbrook cafe in the morning. Picnic lunch at Sutton Scarsdale where there are no facilities

Helmets. Lunch. Tools, pump and inner tube for puncture. Money for cafe stop.
