About the route
Starting point
Grand Western Canal Basin car park in Tiverton. We meet at the far end by the lime kilns and tea rooms. Please note car parking charges apply.
Running alongside the Tantivy Breeze mk2 ride, this is a nice route from Tiverton along the back roads through Bampton and on to Dulverton for a coffee stop at the Tantivy.
It’s about 40 miles with a couple of good hills and a bit of main road. It won’t be fast, because I’m not, but you need to be confident in traffic, and happy to ride steadily for a couple of hours at a time.
I’d recommend lights for improved visibility in case we have normal spring weather!
