The Base Layer This ride is the core of the original Sky led ride called the Cannon Hill Extreme but omits some of the climbs. It is a good ride to complete if you either wish to build on your start out in cycling, return to it after a period off the bike or just to ride at a steady pace with friendly group of riders. Leaving the park by the gate on Russell Road, the route travels up past Kings Heath park and then through Walkers Heath to Primrose Hill where we enter the country lanes towards Forhill. The roads sweep along finally reaching Branson's Cross roundabout before heading through Tanworth with the ‘climb’ of Tom Hill – momentum should help you over but the effort should help you build up recovery strengths. Passing through Earlswood Lakes, you will be back before you know it where you can relax and recharge at the café in the park, the usual meeting place of Cannon Hill C.C. Come and try it. The GPX will be available via our club Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/groups/cannonhillinextremis/
