HP2 7BA

This is an easy-going ride, approximately 8 miles along mainly quieter country lanes; with one short section on a faster 50 mph road. We will spend a short while at Redbournbury Mill, to give everyone time to look at the outside of the old flour mill. This watermill still produces flour, which is used to make the lovely bread and cakes that will be on sale. Remember to bring a small rucksack and mask if you plan to buy any of the bread or cakes etc. Payment is by card only at the moment.
We will ride at the pace that is best suited to everyone in the group, usually between 7 - 9 mph. There will be a few hills where we will of course wait at the top for the group to catch up. As leaders we will ensure that no one is left behind, so that all the group can have an enjoyable ride.
If you have any questions please message Kathy on 07547914328

In view of COVID-19 we will be taking this into account with our ride leading and we will follow govt. guidelines. Please note the following:
• We will not share any equipment so please be organised and bring your own items eg drink, spare inner tube, tyre levers and pump, sun cream and hand sanitiser.
• You should pay particular attention to your bike being in good working order before attending a ride so as to minimise risks and disruption to rides. We will do a bike check before leaving but will check our own bikes.
• We will ride taking social distancing into account. At the time of writing British Cycling recommend riding at least 1m apart.
• Participants must not attend a ride if they have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms and should be isolating
• Anyone who develops COVID-19 symptoms during a ride must inform a leader.
• Anyone who develops COVID symptoms after a ride must contact the leader who will inform British Cycling HQ who will then contact everyone who attended the ride.
Do not attend this ride if you have returned from (anywhere) abroad in the last 2 weeks.
All of the above is to keep us all safe from the virus.
You can contact the leader directly via the ‘Message Ride Creator’ tab in the ride posting on let’s ride unless you have their direct contact details already. “

Please remember to bring,
Two spare inner tubes for your bike, even if you do not know how to change them, someone in the group will, as well as the appropriate tools (tyre levers)
A water bottle with a drink in, riding can be very thirsty work.
Cycle helmet, for your own safety.
Appropriate clothing for the weather
Money if you wish to purchase bread/cake from the water mill
Rucksack (small) for any cake/bread you might purchase)
As we will be riding on the road please consider adding lights to your bike and wearing high vis clothing to assist other road users to see you.
