Wythenshawe

Now in its sixth year, Wythenshawe Games is Manchester’s largest community sports festival, taking in and around Wythenshawe and centering on the beautiful and historic Wythenshawe Park and Hall. Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They're up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour. This is a fabulous traffic-free route within Wythenshawe wooded park with a stretch along a cycle lane on the northern and southern edges of the park. A great family park, with plenty of places for picnics and recreational facilities such as tennis courts, a children's play area and a café. The park is also steeped in history, so after the ride why not look out for the statue of Oliver Cromwell or explore historic Wythenshawe Hall?
