Starting point

Merseyside
L17 1AP

We'll meet in front of the cafe in Sefton Park and cycle past the Palm House and alongside the lake before leaving the park to walk along the pavement and through the underpass at Aigburth Vale.

Then we'll cycle through Otterspool Park and along the prom, through Festival Gardens and across Riverside Drive at the crossing. We'll cycle past St Michael's station and then on quiet roads back to Sefton Park.

This 6 mile ride is ideal for anyone who hasn't been on a bike for a while, or anyone who wants to explore the beautiful parks of Liverpool. There is only a short section on roads, most of the route is traffic free. We'll be going at an easy pace with several short stops to enjoy the views.

We especially welcome anyone who hasn't ridden a bike for a while & is looking to build their confidence.

If you don't have a bike we have some available to borrow for free. The bikes are stored in a container at Mossley Hill hospital on Park Avenue L17 8BU - use the entrance marked Mossley House which is just above the hospital car park entrance.

The bike container is round to the right hand side of the large victorian Mossley house. We will meet you there at 9.30am to sort out a bike and a helmet. If you'd like to borrow a bike it would be very helpful if you could let us know by messaging via this website or emailing Helen on [email protected]

** What to bring **
