Starting from - We'll meet at Pedal Power, I'll aim to be there from 10am having a coffee if anyone wants to join me. If you're driving the best place to park is the car park by Llandaff Fields (where Café Castan is) – there is a small charge. It's also a short cycle ride up from Cardiff Central Station. Let me know if you want more details on parking or getting there from the train. CF11 9JJ

We’ll start from Pedal Power and head down the Taff Trail, when we reach the Bay we’ll head through Hamadryad Park and the Wetlands Reserve and follow the Bay trail round and over the barrage. We’ll head over the Pont Y Werin bridge and join the Ely Trail which we’ll follow to Sanatorium Park before heading through Pontcanna back to Pedal Power and the café. If the weather is particularly cold that day we can shorten this ride to avoid the coldest section round the Bay!

This is a very flat mostly off road route using three of Cardiff’s bike trails – the Taff, Bay and Ely trail. It's a good introduction to Breeze and riding in a group.

This route is mostly off road or on very quiet roads which are mostly designated as cycle routes. The only exception is a short section through Pontcanna back to our start point at Pedal Power. We also cross a couple of busy roads on the Ely trail but we will dismount here. Most of the route is paved, but some parts of the Ely and Bay trail are gravel and could be a bit mucky/puddly. This ride is suitable for all bike types but you may prefer not to do it on road tyres due to this. There are a couple of awkward gates on the route.

We will stop to take in the views, but the main refreshment stop will be back at Tanglewood, Pedal Power’s café.

You’ll need a bike in good working order, a Next Bike would be fine for this ride or you can arrange to hire a bike from Pedal Power. Bring cash or a card for refreshments. A spare inner tube/puncture repair kit is always a good idea as is a bike lock. Remember to wear clothing appropriate for the weather and gloves! Being a leisurely and flat ride it can be quite cold

First-timers welcome!
