The cycle path out of Whitehaven makes for quite a nice ride, with lovely views. Theres a little bit through the houses at first but once clear of the town the countryside will be all around us. This is part of the C2C (coast to coast) cycle route and I can't imagine why anyone riding it would want to leave and go all the way over to the North East, but there's no accounting for taste I suppose. There is a slight incline but theres not any hills and it will seem flat, but you will be magically faster on the return leg!

Please make sure you wear a properly fitted helmet and bring a spare inner tube for your bike, just in case. Breeze rides are friendly, fun and we don't leave anyone behind. It is important that you book if you want to come as places are limited.

Following the cycle path from Whitehaven to Rowrah, the plan here is to ride to the Ennerdale Brewery Cafe, grab some lunch and ride back again. Simples

Most of the ride is on the cycle path between Whitehaven and Rowrah. A short section of road in Whitehaven to get out of town and a short bit in Rowrah, but the rest of the ride is cycle way.

Planned stop at the turnaround point in Rowrah. Ennerdale Brewery operates as a cafe during the daytime so I hope we will be able to get some lunch here and then return to Whitehaven the way we came.

Please bring some method of payment for lunch, sadly it's not on the house. It's good to support local businesses though, especially ones that make beer.

First-timers welcome!
