See how quickly you can escape the busy streets of North West London to get to the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire countryside!
This route uses the capital's better roads for cycling to get out to some beautiful country lanes. We'll pass through Chalfont St Peter and Gerrards Cross before visiting the stunning Burnham Beeches nature reserve for a well earned breather and refreshment at the cafe. We'll complete this 44 mile circular route by passing Pinewood Studios then go through Uxbridge and Hillingdon to return to our starting point. This route has a total of 468 metres of climbs.
All participants are expected to bring:
• A bike in good working order with tyres pumped to the correct pressure. (If in doubt, have it checked over by a local bike shop or qualified mechanic).
• Carry at least a spare inner tube, pump and tyre levers.
• Dress for the weather.
• A drink and energy bar.
• Lights if there is any chance of poor visibility.
The car park at Kenton Recreation Ground appears to have free car parking. The cafe at Burnham Beeches accepts contactless payment.
Meet at 10:00 for a 10:10 start. If you are running late, call Yves on 07413 287560 so we may wait.
