Ulverston - Furness Foray - 9 mile bike ride

This ride of just under 9 miles on quiet roads, climbs gently out of Ulverston, past Swarthmoor Hall and into the Funess countryside, before descending into Great Urswick, taking in the view of Urswick Tarn (and maybe stopping for a drink at one of the two pubs in the village). The route continues on into the villages of Little Urswick and Scales, before it climbs again onto the edge of Birkrigg Common, with incredible views North up into the Lakes, before dropping gently back into Ulverston.
