An introduction to country lanes, we will head to Downe from Hayes.
Mainly on quiet country lanes. From Hayes we head up a gradual uphill towards and then past Keston. After a short section on the busy Westerham Road we turn off towards Downe. We then ride down the busy Shire Lane before turning right into High Elms, which is a longish climb but not steep. We will take it slowly and if necessary you can get off and walk. After Downe we will head towards Biggin Hill, ride down past Biggin Hill Airport and the ride back is mainly downhill.
We will have a coffee stop at the end of the ride.
Dress appropriately for the weather. Helmets are always recommended. Bring a spare inner tube for your bike, a drink, and money/card for refreshments.
