Starting from - The Bridge car park on the town side of the river. There is also parking on the opposite side of the road - both are free.

Shortly after leaving the car park (just a few metres) we cross the bridge over the river Stour and take a left turning into lovely countryside. CV36 4AW

Starting point

CV36 4QT

This is a feisty undulating route of almost 36 miles. The majority of roads are rural passing through villages, open countryside and some woodland. One short stretch of main road where we will stay together and be extra vigilant and careful. However, this road has good visibility for motorists and us cyclists and is wide enough.

The cafe is half way around and is something to look forward to! Good hot drinks and cake.

This is a nice route for stretching the legs. It will provide a good workout for fitness enthusiasts wanting to increase their mileage and offers a variety of terrain. I would describe the route as Steady but with Challenging bits!

Mostly rural with stunning views and some long exhilarating descents.

Half way around we will stop at a newly opened cafe 'The Garden Shed' - their coffee is good and cakes delicious!

Helmets are required, plus money for our coffee/tea and cake stop. Your mobile may be useful and a rain jacket advisable. Carry water to drink plus any extra snacks to nibble on route. We will be riding for 1.5 hours before coffee. Also, please have a decent breakfast!

First-timers welcome!
