Come and join us on our Feeder Ride from Leytonstone to join the start of the Chingford May Day Fayre ride route, heading from Walthamstow to Chingford Plains.

The 8.5Km route follows quiet-ways, with several entertainment and refreshment stops along the whole route.

The May Day Fayre event is a part of the celebration of Waltham Forest being named as the London Borough of Culture 2019. The May Day Fayre will have a number of arts and crafts stall, refreshments and performances, including the Bicycle Ballet.

There is expected to be well over 1,000 cycling to the May Day Fayre, picking up their route maps and heading off from Walthamstow from 3.00p.m. onwards. This is an A-B ride, allowing participants to spend their own time exploring and enjoying the May Day Fayre. The event finishes at dusk (bring your lights if you plan on staying till late). Check with our Ride Leader team if you wish to cycle back in a group, as they’ll be heading back at different times and in different directions. Chingford Station is also very close by.

More information on the main event can be found here: https://wfculture19.co.uk/mayday

Under 16's must be accompanied by the adult who has booked them on the ride. Please dress appropriately for the weather on the day.
All participants are expected to bring: • A bike in good working order with tyres pumped to the correct pressure. (If in doubt, have it checked over by a local bike shop or qualified mechanic). • Carry at least a spare inner tube, pump and tyre levers. • Dress for the weather. • A drink and energy bar. • Lights if there is any chance of poor visibility.

Send a join request to the East End Cycling Club to keep up to date on our other rides. Ride pics are posted on our Facebook page.
