Follow the postcode for the start, as you turn at the roundabout on Bonemill lane there are some playing fields on the left with public parking available.I'll be there from 09:15.
The ride is on road, no off road. I try and keep an average speed of 12-14 mph, there will be two main climbs, the most challenging being the climb from the Coxgreen golf course towards Offerton approx. avg 6% for 0.3 mile.
The only coffee shop is at the Penshaw garden centre which is close to the end of the route. Optional to stop here. Can be agreed on the day but bring some cash in case
This route is slightly different from the preview route by approx. 4-5 miles
Rear lights are recommended, as well as helmets as the riding is all on road
