About the route
Starting point
Rickleton football fields, follow the route for NE38 9DE at the roundabout on Bonemill lane turn and parking is available. If you require more detailed directions please send me a message
Easy ride out, takes approx. 2.5 hours at a steady 13-15mph. There are approx. 3 8-12% climbs. One as you head out of Chester-Le-Street, the second as you climb into Burnhope and the third as you pass through Cocken wood (on road)
There will be the option to stop for coffee about half way just past Burnhope so bring some money.
The ride is on road so helmets are required, rear lights are recommended.
The route may change slightly from that shown on the map, but nothing major.
