This mainly flat route explores the beautiful Green Park, Southampton to Waterside and Woodlands on the edge of the New Forest. Using Cycle paths and quiet roads the route heads out through Milbrook housing estate crossing the River Test and onto the famous Eling Tidal Mill, Crossing the toll bridge (FREE FOR CYCLISTS) you’ll make your way up Eling Hill passing St Mary the Virgin Church, to the new off-road cycle path to Marchwood. You’ll pass Southampton’s Training Camp at Staplewood before crossing Marchwood bypass onto Forest roads. We skirt by the Bold Forester which is a good stopping point. Further along Deerleap lane we pass the New Forest Wildlife Park which also has a coffee stop, but we continue, passing Longdown Dairy Farm before heading to Spot in the Woods at Woodlands which will be our stopping point. After refreshments we head back via Netley Marsh along Ashurst Bridge Road to Totton and back to our starting point at Green Park
