A circular ride that links together the pockets of countryside around Watford on a mix of National Cycle Route, bridleways, cycle paths, quiet roads and towpath.

This time around, we'll do the loop in reverse, heading out via the Grand Union Canal towpath to Hunton Bridge, up Gypsy Lane and on to Leavesden Country Park, returning through the Munden Estate and along the Abbey & Ebury Way to Watford Cycle Hub.

This is a great ride for hybrid and mtb riders and anyone who wants to up their distance and do a bit of gentle climbing, on a relaxed ride, in a supportive group. :)

Do wear layers and perhaps bring a small rucksack so you can take layers off / put on as needed. Also bring some money for our cafe stop if you would like to buy a drink, snack or light lunch.

Please bring a spare inner tube as this makes it easier to fix a puncture if it happens, rather than getting out the rubber glue. If you don't have a spare inner tube, Watford Cycle Hub sell them for £4 brand new, or recycled ones for £1 (no patches) & 50p (patched).

Please make sure your bike is in good working order before the ride, especially that the tyres are pumped and the brakes work. Watford Cycle Hub can check over your bike and we can pump up your tyres to the correct pressure for you if you come in good time before the ride.

If your bike might need a little more TLC or hasn't been ridden for a while, you can always bring it in for a free assessment; we're Not-For-Profit and as a Social Enterprise promise to give you an honest price if your bike needs fixing, fine tuning or a full service. :)
