Watford Cycle Hub: Munden Meander Through the Woods and Across the Ford

This varied route proves just how quickly you can get away from the tower blocks & the bustle of major access routes! Within a matter of minutes you'll be riding along quiet country lanes, past cottages, down tracks, through wooded areas, touching the edge of a golf course and discovering quiet country hostelries!

This is a lovely route for anyone of any age who loves getting off the beaten track, away from it all, to discover pastures new...It's also a perfect mini-adventure for children! :)

Your bike should be in good working order. Please check your tyres are pumped & your brakes are working the day before.

If you're running late on the day, please call Watford Cycle Hub on: 01923 223994 - they will then relay a message to the Ride Leader. We may be able to wait for you - if we know you're on your way! :)

Please bring a spare inner tube. Changing the inner tube is faster than fixing a puncture with a puncture repair kit. If you get a puncture on the ride - we will help you fix it! :) Watford Cycle Hub sell recycled inner tubes for £1 (no patches); 50p (patched). New inner tubes are £4-6.

We are Not-For-Profit and do free bike assessments, should your bike need checking over, or be in need of a service, we will give you an honest price. :)

We are running this ride as a straight loop, but if you'd like to go to a cafe for a drink or brunch post ride, there will be a couple of possible cafe options to go on to, should you want to - Georgia, the Ride Leader and our Ride Co-ordinator will definitely want brunch post ride! :)
