This is an opportunity to meander along the Ebury Way & Grand Union Canal to one of the best independent, quirky coffee houses in the area with really good treats for adult and children alike! :)

At just under 10 miles, this route is a good ride if you what to extend your distance, while staying on-the-flat. It's a virtually traffic-free route (with a few road crossings), so is family friendly and a good route for adults who simply prefer to cycle mainly traffic-free.

There is also car parking at Cafe Bean Here so any member of your family, or a friend who does not cycle, can meet us down there, or the 'parent taxi service' can come so little legs only have to cycle one way if need be... :)

We will be riding back via the same route to Watford Cycle Hub which means you'll get to perfect using the 'bike slide' on the stairs both up & down from the canal... :)

Please check the weather forecast and wear appropriate clothing for the conditions. Do wear layers and perhaps bring a small rucksack so you can take layers off / put on as needed. Gloves, buffs etc are also good, especially for children as little hands get cold easily.

Your bike should be in good working order for the ride. Please check your tyres are pumped to the correct pressure & brakes are working the day before the ride. You can use our track pump or we can pump your tyres to the correct pressure on the day if you arrive 15 minutes before the start. If there's an issue with your bike on the day of the ride, please arrive earlier than this so it can be checked over for you and sorted pre-ride. :)

Please bring a spare inner tube. Changing the inner tube is faster than fixing a puncture with a puncture repair kit. If you get a puncture on the ride - we will help you fix it! :) Watford Cycle Hub sell recycled inner tubes for £1 (no patches); 50p (patched). New inner tubes are £4-6.
Please also bring money if you want to buy drinks, treats or a panini at Cafe Bean Here. :)
