About the route
Starting point
Car Park (free) adjacent to Low Millerground path on Rayrigg Road, Bowness-on -Windermere. P.S. Bring 50p for the ferry crossing and some cash for refreshments at Zeffirelli's.
From Rayrigg Road we cycle to the Windermere ferry crossing and then take the west shoreline bridleway up to Wray Castle, through Pullwyke woods and onto Ambleside where we will stop for refreshments before returning to the start point via the cycleway from Ambleside to Windermere.
