Meet by the bike stands outside Ealing Town Hall, gathering from 9.45am for a 10am departure. We should return to Ealing by 4pm.

Our first Sunday ride of 2018, on the day that the clocks go forward so spring is definitely here!

This is a tour around two of the most beautiful and extensive green spaces in West London. We will make our way down to Chiswick Bridge and up through Mortlake and Sheen, to enter Richmond Park by the Sheen Gate. We can use either the path across the top of the Park or the off-road Tamsin Trail around the eastern perimeter, to get across to the Ham Gate. We ride through Ham Common onto the Thames Path and follow the river up to Kingston Bridge. We cross the river and enter Bushy Park, heading for the Pheasantry Café for our lunch stop.

The return route takes us to the Teddington footbridge where we cross back over the river and return through the Ham Gate. We ride back along the western edge of Richmond Park to the Richmond Gate. Then it’s an easy ride through side streets down the hill to Kew Bridge and back to Ealing.
