A gentle there and back ride, 15 miles, pan flat, suitable for beginners, returners or anyone just wanting a relaxing morning in good company with a coffee stop. We would hope to average 9mph but we always go at the speed of the slowest and no one is left behind.
Heading down High Street to Susworth and the up the river bank to West Butterwick where we turn right towards Messingham and our coffee stop. Then returning more or less the same way except for detouring down Sand Lane and Black Bank.

The route is all tarmac suitable for road bikes, hybrids, mountain bikes etc. Electric power is ok too.

We will take a refreshment stop at the cafe at Messingham Zoo. But happy to stop if anyone needs a breather.
