We're Searching For Our Roots!
Introductory ride suited to riders who have not done much so far this year.
Main Start Point:
Co-Op car park, Berry Lane, Longridge, PR3 3NH - 10.30 am - 27 Miles
Or, if you want to ride a little further:
St Augustine's Billington, Whalley, BB7 9JA - 9.30 am - 45 Miles - Only if you've been riding recently.
From our familiar starting point at Longridge, we'll head out to Inglewhite, Bilsborrow & Catforth where we'll turn & go to Roots Café for lunch.
After a lovely vanilla slice, we'll make our way back via Broughton & Whittingham.
It'll be a lovely ride with a gentle decline to the lunch stop & a gentle incline back.
I have some reserved places for people we've not seen for a while - you know who you are - If the ride's showing as full, get in touch & I'll try my best to get you on the ride.
During this year I will be raising money for the charity Bliss that supports families and premature babies in neonatal care. If you would like to donate to this worthy cause - which would be very much appreciated - please click on the Just Giving link below.

We'll ride at a steady pace of 10 - 12 mph on this ride and we'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together & have a really pleasant ride. This is a flat ride from Longridge suitable for road bikes & hybrids with road tyres. If you are unsure of your bikes suitability, please get in touch before the ride. Please check your bike over the night before the ride, tyres inflated, all bolts tight, lubricated. Clothing, Helmet & lights checked & ready. Please ensure you have all the parts for your bike - pump, spare tube, multi tool. Your bike is your responsibility! Phone, money too. You are your responsibility!
Please aim to be ready to ride 15 mins before the ride start time, getting away on time is good for everyone. It would be great to have some new & some familiar faces on this ride, you're all welcome & I look forward to riding with you.
I'm a British Cycling Ride Leader leading guided rides & I'm also a trained route planner - I enjoy my cycling & appreciate it even more when I have people to ride with. Our group is called the FC's - Friendly Cyclists, where all the Ride Leaders are trained & certified. You can read all about us & join the group here: Let us know a bit about yourself & what rides you like to do.
