This new follow-on group from our B2B (Back to Basics) beginners group will also cycle out from Cockermouth High School where there is ample parking.
Come and join us for one of our Further 4 Fun Guided rides with likeminded people who love a longer ride with great views.
We will be travelling along quite country roads out from Cockermouth, so be prepared for some managed uphill climbs and rougher surfaced country lanes.
Rest assured our group is always patient while you take your time or even if you need to walk up that more daunting hill.

Road bikes are suitable for this weeks ride as we will be travelling along tarmac road surfaces.

We will be including in this weeks ride a socially distanced drinks & snack break so don't forget your own "vitals" for our lakeside stop with a view.

We always travel at the slowest rider's pace with support and encouragement, so no one is ever left behind. This is to enhances our enjoyment of leisurely cycling within the safety of our group. So this is not a ride for racers!

This is an intermediate mixed cycling group for adults (men & women 16+) to ride with others interested in doing more leisure cycle riding for between 20 to 25 miles each ride.

All Easy B2B members are very welcome, this also includes riders using e-bikes with a fully charged battery and hybrid tyres.

Due to guide lines from British Cycling the advice below MUST be adhered to:

Participants must consider safety first, particularly minimising the risk of infection/transmission and the risk of injury (so riding to your known abilities is key), so as not to place further pressure on the NHS.

Participants must not attend rides if they have Covid-19 symptoms, have someone in their household who does or who are in the extremely vulnerable category or if they have been asked to remain at home by the UK Government track and trace system. Participants are required to
provide their own equipment.
A must is your own hand pump with the correct connection for your inner tube valve.
The essentials are;
1. Tyre levers,
2. Inner tube that fits your bike,
3. Puncture repair kit,
4. Pocket sized multi tool
5. Hand sanitizer & water bottle, any food/refreshments if required or monies/contactless card for purchasing any refreshments at the designated break stop and must avoid sharing any of the above.

At this stage using face masks or coverings is a personal choice but it should not restrict your breathing.
Participants should wash/sanitise their hands after the ride & while attending any ride breaks. During & when leaving the ride participants must maintain social distancing.
Riding 'one metre plus mitigations' away from those from outside your household, in groups of 6 or fewer, rather than needing to maintain two metres.
The 'mitigations' listed by Government include being outdoors and being side-to-side (avoiding face-to-face contact), both of which are achieved in group riding.
