West Lancs, Maghull Loop

Maghull Road Loop
This ride is all on road, so is suitable for all types of bike.
We will meet at the Farmers Arms at Burscough before heading south towards Halsall and then a quick trip up Clieves Hill for a fast descent to Haskayne. We then follow the country lanes near to the Cheshire lines before having a stop for coffee and cake at the Barn at Lydiate.
We then set off again meandering along the country lanes through Aughton up to Ormskirk and then returning to our start point at the Farmers Arms for some, well earned, refreshments.
We'll ride at a steady pace of 10 - 12 mph on this ride and we'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together.
Remember, this is not a race, but a leisurely ride at a pace to suit the slowest in the group!
Please check your bike over the night before the ride, tyres inflated, all bolts tight, lubricated. Clothing, helmet & lights checked and ready. Please ensure you have a pump and a couple of spare tubes in case of punctures and a good secure lock.
