Starting point

South Yorkshire
S6 4TE

This ride sets off from the beginning of Loxley Road and climbs steadily up past the Admiral Rodney and then takes a right and climbs up Long Lane. About half way up, we take a left onto Myers Lane. We then bear right at a couple of junctions and tackle a short steep climb that brings us up to Kirk Edge Road where we turn left. At a fork in the road, we turn right and continue to the end of the road, where we turn left onto Onesacre Road and then left to drop down to Penistone Road. We then turn right and continue until we reach Mortimer Road, where we turn left and head across Strines Moor. When we reach Sugworth Road, we turn left and continue through Ughill and round to the top of a short, steep descent back to the Plough in Low Bradfield. We then have an easy ride back to the start. As on any of our rides, we'll take our time and there is no pressure to go faster than you want to. We never leave anyone behind!

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS
Please do not attend if you have COVID symptoms (new, persistent cough; fever; loss of sense of smell or taste) or if any of your household has symptoms or is isolating. Maintain social distance throughout the ride, including at the start/finish and the café stop. Bring a facemask for use at the café stop.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
We recommend that all participants wear a helmet. Please make sure you wear appropriate clothing for the weather. As usual we do expect you to have ensured your bike is roadworthy and that you have carried out basic pre-ride checks; we recommend that you also carry at least one spare inner tube, a pump (CO2 inflators are also highly recommended). It is also a good idea to carry a spare chain link that matches your bike’s chain (e.g. 9, 10 or 11 speed). If you have a mechanical problem we will do our best to assist you and/or lend you an inner tube or repair kit if we can, but it is always best to be self-reliant. Don’t forget to bring money for refreshments and a mobile phone.
