S6 6RU

We will be riding to St Nicholas Church to look inside the church, see the projection illumination and hear the church bells ringing (the bell ringing will take place at 7pm).

From our meeting point, opposite the Admiral Rodney on Loxley Road at 6pm, we will cycle out on Loxley Road, continuing on the right side of Dam Flask and up to High Bradfied. There we will stop to absorb the atmosphere and enjoy the exhibition.
The projection on the church is sometimes better viewed from the opposite side of the valley. Therefore, after our stop we will continue the ride up the hill out of High Bradfield, travelling up Brown House Lane and onto Penistone Road before turning left down Smallfield Lane and passing Agden Reservoir before reaching Low Bradfield.
We will then follow to flat side of Dam Flask where we can stop to look up at the church and reflect over the bravery of so many people that have gone before us.
We will then retrace our route back along Loxley Road to the start.
It will be dark so you will need to have a front light that is powerful enough to see where you are going by (i.e that can light up the road for several metres ahead). Ideally you should bring a spare front and rear light and/or spare batteries. Please ensure rechargeable lights are fully charged!
We recommend that all participants wear a helmet. Please make sure you wear appropriate clothing for the weather. As usual we do expect you to have ensured your bike is roadworthy and that you have carried out basic pre-ride checks; we recommend that you also carry at least one spare inner tube, a pump (CO2 inflators are also highly recommended). It is also a good idea to carry a spare chain link that matches your bike’s chain (e.g. 9, 10 or 11 speed).
