COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS
Rides organised via Let's Ride are permitted to have up to 15 participants (this ride may have a lower limit); however, at the start and end of the ride and at any café stops, participants must divide into groups of six or fewer and not mix with the other groups. Please do not attend if you have COVID symptoms (new, persistent cough; fever; loss of sense of smell or taste) or if any of your household has symptoms or is isolating. Maintain social distance throughout the ride, including at the start/finish and the café stop - all participants must maintain a distance of 2 m from others while stationary and 1 m while riding. Bring a facemask for use at the café stop.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
As usual we do expect you to have ensured your bike is roadworthy and that you have carried out basic pre-ride checks; we recommend that you also carry at least one spare inner tube, a pump (CO2 inflators are also highly recommended). It is also a good idea to carry a spare chain link that matches your bike’s chain (e.g. 9, 10 or 11 speed). If you have a mechanical problem we will do our best to assist you and/or lend you an inner tube or repair kit if we can, but it is always best to be self-reliant. Don’t forget to bring money for refreshments and a mobile phone, and wear a helmet.
DISCLAIMER
This is a purely social group of like-minded people sharing a love of cycling, it is not a formal organisation nor does it have any form of legal structure. We do not profess to be trained ride leaders but do have experience of doing so. You are free to choose to ride with us but in doing so please note that you do so in acceptance that this is entirely at your own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for any loss or injury suffered as a result of your participation. Please also read the terms and conditions on the website.
From Bolsterstone, we’ll use two loops and quiet lanes to ride to the Windmills on Royd Moor, then Langsett for coffee before returning to Bolsterstone
Please wear a helmet as always, and bring along a means to make basic bike repairs as required. It is assumed you will have made the necessary pre ride bike checks to ensure your bike is fit and safe to ride.
We especially welcome newbies!
