A breath-taking journey into East Cornwall to enjoy stunning views across water, hills and clifftops before stopping for refreshments at Seaton Beachfront Café. Once across the Torpoint ferry this is beautiful ride with challenging climbs and drops along good tarmac. Plenty of places to catch your breath, take a photo and enjoy the ride. This is a challenging ride with an average pace of 11/12 mph allowing for some 1200m of climbing over about 28 miles before we drop into Torpoint. With a start time of 0830, allowing for water and snack stops, photo’s and coffee stop I aim to return to Sainsbury’s car park by 1330

We set off along the cycle path towards Laira Bridge where we join the roads into the city. Our route takes us along the seafront to the ferry with light to moderate traffic. At Torpoint we head for Millbrook along undulating windy lanes with an easy pace to match the elevations. Most of the morning will be quiet lanes with light traffic. Traffic may increase on the road into Torpoint but there is plenty of room for traffic to safely pass. This is a ride for road or cross bikes with winter road tyres recommended.

We will be stopping as required along this undulating route. A coffee stop at Seaton Beach Café is planned. A second stop at Rockets and Rascals in the Barbican can be included if agreed

Essential’s for the ride: Clothing to suit weather and forecast. Roadworthy bike Working rear and front lights Helmet and gloves recommended Filled water bottle(s) and snacks for first 2-3 hours of riding at least At least one spare innertube Enough money for the café Good sense of humour

As I am new to ride leading too this will be a friendly ride set at the pace of the slowest rider. Plenty of stops as required and words of encouragement when needed.
