Starting point

BB2 2SZ

Meet at the car park near the entrance to the Arena. Witton Country Park, Preston Old Rd, Blackburn BB2 2SZ

Come and join in on a ride around Witton Park. ALL participants taking part in four Breeze rides during January and February will receive a British Cycling - HSBC Breeze goody bag.

We will cycle around the Witton Park cycle path, then proceed up Tower Rd towards Pleasington Cemetery. Then proceed down Under Billinge Lane, onto Buncer Lane on the shared path back to Witton Park on the cycle path. The route has a few small inclines but nothing too steep.

Note the “Ride Start Time” is 10:00am; but please arrive 10 minutes early as we will always do a cycle and clothing check prior to setting off on the ride. We ride at a pace to suit the group and won't leave anyone behind. Don't be put off if you feel a bit nervous or rusty, we've all been there! We advise you to dress and be prepared to suit the weather on the day, especially waterproofs or extra layers for adverse weather. Its always a good idea to bring a drink, although there is a café in the park if you want to buy drinks, snacks etc. Helmets are not compulsory but we advise you to bring one. Its also a good idea to bring a spare inner tube / repair kit / pump. The ride is more suited to Hybrids and Mountain Bikes. As with all Breeze rides, we will ride to the pace of the slowest rider and regroup along the way.
