Family Community Cycling Event at Alexandra Park, Manchester - Summer of Cycling

Our free family community events are ideal for the whole family to enjoy cycling in a safe and friendly space. Join us at Alexandra Park, Manchester where you can ride at your own pace as many times as you like with volunteers on hand to chat all things cycling. This week's event will be a little bit special with extra exciting activities to celebrate our Summer of Cycling 2021. 

It's totally free to take part, so simply sign up below and turn up anytime between 10.30 - 12.30.

What's on offer? 

• Traffic-free route so you can pedal in peace

• FREE bike hire (adult bikes and balance bikes)

• Skilled bike mechanic from The Bike Hive Manchester to fix any little niggles with your bikes

• Ready Set Ride area for little ones to practice their skills 

• Bambino Biking will be attending with family cycling hints, tips and equipment to try out

• Bike-powered Face Painters

• Love to Ride chatting all things Cycle September 

• Smoothie bike from Friends of the Earth Manchester to make yummy healthy drinks using only pedal power! 

• Local ride leaders who will provide information about Guided Rides and women-only Breeze rides in your area

• Our knowledgeable volunteers who will happily chat all things cycling

• Summer of Cycling goodie bags

By Bike - Alexandra Park is only a few minutes ride from the Fallowfield Loop traffic-free walking and cycling route. 

Car parking - Small car park on Nursery Street, at the end of Russell Street and on-street parking in surrounding roads. 

Covid-19

Please help us to keep our volunteers and participants safe. Please do not attend the event if you feel unwell, have any symptoms or have tested positive for Covid-19 and been told to self isolate. Hand sanitiser will be available at the event and a cleaning system in place for bike hire. Please practice social distancing where possible during the event.
