Friendly bike rides for women. We meet at various locations in the Stirling area. Some of our rides start outside of Stirling so that we can take advantage of the traffic-free routes in Clackmannanshire. Rides are mostly very easy paced short rides (up to 12 miles) where you can just enjoy the scenery and chat.
Our group has been set up to encourage women to get out on their bikes, make friends, get fit, build confidence, and explore the local area by bike. If you’re new to riding or returning after a break, then our rides will be great for you. If you’re a regular cyclist, but want to get out on your bike with other women, then you’ll be welcome to join us.
We cycle at a gentle pace and always at the pace of the slowest rider. No one ever gets left behind!
The routes we use vary, but many are on traffic-free cycle paths, so you won’t have to worry about traffic on some of our rides. It will be clear on route descriptions what type of paths or roads we’ll be cycling on.
We try to use a mix of regular routes while also introducing new ones.
There are coffee stops on most rides and likely other stops for photos, snacks etc.
There’ll be a chance to chat about cycling and if you’ve got any questions about kit, clothing etc, there’s bound to be others on the ride who can answer your questions.
Most of our rides currently take place at weekends, but we’ll occasionally try to put on weekday rides where we can.
Distance, location and types of roads/paths used for rides will be clearly described at the time of posting.
Most of our rides are suitable for all bikes including Hybrid (off road tyres), Hybrid (road tyres) Mountain Bike, Road, Ebikes.
