Outside the Humber Bridge Tourist Information Centre, North Bank Viewing Area Ferriby Road, Hessle. There are public toilets nearby.

The plan is to cycle the the Middlegate Loop – the shortest route of the Humber Bridge Sportive in June. It’s 22miles with 928’ of climbing. None of the hills is as steep as either Brantingham Dale or Elloughton Dale. Horkstow Road is a long steady climb. If we’re lucky, we’ll be able to see Lincoln Cathedral.

If it’s too windy to go over the Bridge, we’ll cycle into Hull along the transpennine trail, checking the signage as we go.

Helmets are advisable and it's a good idea to bring a bike lock, if you have one. Please also bring a spare inner tube. And don't forget money for coffee and cake!.
