The Worth Way is a 7-mile (11 km) footpath and bridleway linking the West Sussex towns of Crawley and East Grinstead via the village of Crawley Down. It mostly follows the tracked of a disused railway and the path is an important wildlife corridor. It is part of the national cycle network and apart from the short ride from Three Bridges station to the start at Worth it will be a traffic free route. We will meet outside Three Bridges Station and it's a very short cycle to the start of the route in Worth. We will follow the route to East Grinstead where we will have a stop at Costa Coffee for refreshments and then will retrace the route back to Crawley. SUITABLE FOR HYBRID OR MOUNTAIN BIKES. It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack if you think your energy levels may need topping up along the way and some money if you'd like something at the coffee stop. Please wear a helmet and ensure your bike is in good working order-tyres pumped, brakes working etc and carrying a spare inner tube and puncture repair kit is always advisable. PLEASE NOTE THAT DURING THE WINTER MONTHS RIDES MAY BE CANCELED AT SHORT NOTICE DUE TO BAD WEATHER SO PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAILS/FACEBOOK AND PHONES BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME FOR THE RIDE Everyone’s welcome-see you there!
