CH41 1AL

1st pick up - Hamilton Square Station. 2nd Pick up New Brighton (outside Morrisons supermarket) 3rd Pick up West Kirby Station (Ch48 4DZ)

Today our ride will take us from Hamilton Square Station all along the Wirral Way to Hooton Station. There will be various pick up points if you don’t want to do the whole circular route which gives you the flexibility of where to join the ride. For the 1st meeting point we shall meet at Hamilton Square station and there are regular trains from Liverpool and beyond. There is also a car park there for a daily charge of about £3.50 for all day parking. Our first stop to meet others will be New Brighton (the new Morrison’s supermarket) so if you want to join the ride from there that is fine – the meeting time will be 10:45am and the meeting place will be at the bike racks just near the entrance to the shop. From here our ride will take us along the front at New Brighton (all off road) with the Irish Sea on our right, past the Derby Pool, along to Meols passing the famous Royal Liverpool Golf Club and onto West Kirby. We will stop for a break here for a toilet stop and pick up the next group of people who want to join the ride from West Kirby train station (Ch48 4DZ) alternatively if you want to leave the ride at this point you can get the train back to either Hamilton Square or New Brighton. From West Kirby our ride will take us along Roydon Park and onto the Wirral Way to Thurstuston Country Park where will shall stop for lunch – please feel free to bring your own or you can purchase something at the cafe at the park. (I will let them know in advance will shall be coming!) Here you can buy a sandwich or soup or drinks and snacks if you wish too. After lunch the ride continues along the Wirral Way (all off road) onto Parkgate and Neston, then along the path passing through Willaston and onto Hooton arriving at Hooton station at Approx 3.30pm. You can get the train back to Liverpool/Chester or Birkenhead from here if you need too. The lifts at the station are very good and easy access for you and your bike. The whole journey is around 25 miles. If you need to ask any questions please call me on 07729 114055 or email me at [email protected] Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then. Please bring appropriate clothing for the day (eg waterproofs) and as always I hope we won’t need these! Look forward to seeing you there!
